I’ve been thinking of doing more monsters in ink, for sale while I’m a guest at VisionCon 2011. Here’s the newest one, one of the ghosts from The Devil’s Backbone. It’s like the previous ones, 5″ x 7″, ink, on 140 lb,. Cold Press. It has just a hint of red too near the top, and those who have seen the film know what that means.

I really like this one.I think a lot of it is the was you chose to draw the eye…it’s glassy depth givesit a knowing look that is hard to look away from.

The eye and the gory break on the head are what always stuck out for me in the film. There’s somehow a darkness and a compassion there at the same time, and I was hoping to capture that. The eye gave me a solid place to start too, and for me starting is the hardest part. Thanks for checking it out!
