Created 3D view from a blueprint acquired from the building officials. Took many of the photos that were used. Graphic was created using Freehand and Photoshop.
Poster-style graphic design with information about the Central Hockey League. Used Freehand for the main layout of the graphic and Photoshop to manipulate the photos. Used Photoshop for the extensive digital image manipulation on the letterforms of “Nuts and Bolts”.
Informational graphic ran during the initial phases of the war in Iraq. Graphic was created in two days and included information provided by Gannett News Services. The piece featured two graphics from Gannett News Service and the rest I created while gathering information and doing research.
Large poster-style informational graphic showing a 3D map view of the area around the Poudre River. Also includes detailed information about the river and a historical timeline of memorable events. Graphic appeared as the featured item on a week-long series in the Fort Collins Coloradoan newspaper. To complete the graphic I worked alongside several writers and reporters to gather and research information from a variety of experts. The simulated 3D map was created in Freehand using a 2D map as a template. Other elements were created in Photoshop and much of the text, including the timeline, was created in InDesign.
Poster style informational and instructional piece giving information on how to correctly repair a damaged tree. This graphic was created in one day after the city of Fort Collins was hit by a storm that did extensive damage to the community’s trees. The idea for the graphic was to quickly give readers a set of guidelines on the best way for them to salvage their damaged trees. Graphic was created in Freehand, using Photoshop to manipulate the photos.
Illustrated and informational poster aimed at raising alcohol abuse awareness among teens. I worked with several reporters and experts to provide the information for this graphic. I wrote and researched the majority of the content. I Used Photoshop and a Wacom graphics tablet to create all illustrations and digital image manipulations. The rest of the graphic was created in Freehand to accommodate the extensive type manipulation. This piece as highly successful and area schools and alcohol awareness groups ordered extra copies to put in their buildings.
