I decided, in lieu of doing another ink today, that I’d toy around with Photoshop some. I love working with layers, textures, and just random ideas to make art, and digital is perfect for that.

As you can see by my galleries, I really have two different digital styles. The first is simply an illustrative style, with each character, background, and so on all created with a brush in Photoshop. The second style, which this new piece falls under, is much more about the manipulation of either existing art or photos, or of created art with the brushes that then gets worked over.

This particular style is quite open, in both idea and in technique. It’s great to experiment with, as the one below clearly shows. Being fairly quick to execute, this style also lets me get things out of my head quickly, so maybe I can move on with life (the catharsis idea I mention here and there).
